A cuppa with Meredith: Win My New Book + Super Giveaway!!
Well hello ,
Hooley dooley! It is now one month until The Tricky Art of Forgiveness is released into the world (okay, Australia New Zealand, but these days, that kinda feels like the world, right?) As the song goes, it’s starting to feel mighty real.
Now I promised you that there would be a special giveaway to celebrate bringing this new novel into being and here we are. Not one but two giveaways. Lordy!
Giveaway #1
Look at this gorgeous gift box! Someone (maybe you!) is going to be seriously pampered. This box of goodies has been sourced from local businesses (except for the signed First Edition copy of The Tricky Art of Forgiveness, although I did write it here, so I guess that makes it local too!)
Supporting local businesses is critical in regional Australia, so I’d like to give a shout out to the following local creators as well as tell you what’s in the box. And just so you know, I paid for all these goodies so every word that follows is a true endorsement. I’ve included contact details in case you want to jump on their websites and find out more about them, sign up to their newsletters, or support them in other ways.
Rosé is Diana’s (the star of The Tricky Art of Forgiveness) favourite tipple. My neighbours, The Stone Cottage Vineyard make the most delicious rosé. Believe me when I tell you that I have sacrificed myself on the altar of love many, many times to ensure the 2021 vintage is up to scratch. Trust me, it will not disappoint.
Negroni Sbagliato, anyone? Legend has it that this delicious cocktail started life as a mistake by a drunken bartender who poured prosecco instead of gin into a Negroni. Which seems kind of appropriate given there’s plenty of mistakes in The Tricky Art of Forgiveness! Here’s the recipe. Mix up a cocktail and flop on the couch with Diana. Then sip and read.
If you’d prefer to run a relaxing bath and soak while you sip and read, no problemo! Thanks to Delicious Vibrant Beauty, you can sprinkle some of this divine handmade botanical Rose Milk Bath blend into the water and soothe your body and soul. After you’ve soaked away the day, finish off with this homemade rose moisturising bar.
After all that self-care, you might be feeling a tad romantic. Do not fear, I’ve got you covered. Let’s start with some of the most amazing chocolate on the planet from my dear friends at Woodstock Chocolate Company. Oh my, are you in for a treat! I’ve chosen the White Raspberry and the Dark Raspberry, in case you want to share (not!)
And if you want to rev up the mood, let me introduce you to Teapot Teas, Kiss Me on My Tulips. Blended by herbalist Andrew, this tea is a hormone balancer and sexual energiser for her. This delicious blend includes wild yam, damiana, chaste tree (which kinda sounds wrong 😊) and rose geranium essential oil. FYI, there is also a tea for the men folk. I'll leave that thought with you!
Last, but by no means least, there will be a signed, personalised pristine-fresh-off-the-press copy of my new novel, The Tricky Art of Forgiveness. Because, you can’t do any of the above without the actual book, can you???
The rules
‘How do I win this?’ I hear you ask. Simple. Just send me an email and tell me the answer to this question. What is Diana’s favourite tipple? A winner will be picked at random. You must live in Australia to enter, otherwise the postage will cost me a bomb! You also must have subscribed before midnight 4 March 2022. The winner will be announced on 5 March in the next, regular newsletter.
Giveaway #2
This lovely giveaway is courtesy of my publisher HarperCollins Publishers Australia. Because they’re very generous people over there, they have ten (10!) copies of the pristine fresh-off-the-press copies of The Tricky Art of Forgiveness to give away to ten (10!) lucky subscribers. To keep that maths simple, that’s one each, not ten times ten.
In exchange, they (me) would love it if you could jump onto Goodreads and leave a review. If you’re okay with that, drop me an email with your postal address (again, Australia only folks) and they will send you a copy. It’s first in best dressed so if you're keen, don’t dilly dally.
Winners of To the Sea
And I have not forgotten you, you lucky winners for our January competition. My two randomly picked winners are:
Lynda F
Julia M
Congratulations! Your copy of the book is on its way.
Warmest wishes,
